Family Chicken Raising Improvement: This component provided farmer group is able to get knowledge and have ability to manage and use the appropriate chicken raising method with their natural resource within equitability and sustainability in Kanleng Romeas village, Pich Mony Commune, Kong Pisey District, Kampong Speu Province. The target farmers were invited to attend the training course on family chicken raising demonstrations to show the economic effective way for contribution in their family income. The section was designed with consideration of potential of chicken raising in contribution easily for family income earning and a part of malnutrition reduction. The chicken is very simple activity for farmers carry out if they are getting additional knowledge and experiences to improve their current practice.

- About Training on simply method for family chicken raising: The handout were produced in a simple way includes minimizing the text while the picture were drew as much as possible to making. The training is also running through participatory learning with discussion, brainstorming, and sharing experiences to each other. The training will organize by dividing into five steps and process in one or two days per week according to the real situation of target farmers.
            A. Step One: General Awareness on importance of chicken raising for contributing in family income stability. Further more the farmers will sharing and understand more about location selection and know how to build an appropriate chicken cage and chicken breeds. During the one day period the participants will also get why the cage is necessary for raising chicken.
            B. Step Two: The subject is focused on simple way of chicken raising by pay more attention in additional feed (forage), traditional medicine, sanitation, natural method for preventing and treating diseases. The training will organize for two days.
            C. Step Three: It is the monitoring and economic analysis subject on chicken raising. The one day training will make farmers to understand on efficacy of chicken raising by using the traditional method.
            D. Step Four: It is the last subject for the training which will focus on comparison between chicken raising by high taking care and nothing pay attention. The potential for raising chicken by suing the traditional method (reducing the chemical way) will also included in this step.

- About Family Chicken Raising Demonstration: Further to the training, the ten trainees will be selected based on their performance during the training period and commitment/ability for conducting family chicken raising demonstrations. Each farmer will receive ten chickens including one cock, net for surrounding the chicken house. The farmers have to contribute in planting forage for additional feed and traditional medicine.

Further more the demo farmers will share experiences to other farmers through providing exposure visit and conduct demo forum by explanation on their carrying out to other people. The priority aim of this section is to reduce the infectious disease and mortality rate for the chickens. But the project will not encourage the farmers to use the chemical medicine and feed, by replacing this way the project will provide more motivation for farmers use the resources which can find in their community so that when the project phase out they are still continue the methodology.
