ARD

Rational of ARD formation

The group of Founders reach common reasons to form ARD, those are:

1. We are all founders experienced in difficulty of job hunting after graduation from University, because we did not have Certificates of Short Courses and Working Experiences with other NGOs even during that time were not many fresh graduates. But currently, there are thousands of graduates every year. So if there is no institutions/NGOs to give a chance to them in learning/practicing and getting experiences, they will face more difficult situation in job market competence.

2. We are all founders understand and acknowledge that the real situation of the farmers at rural areas both in their livelihood standard and knowledge in Agriculture Technique Production are weak and poor. Through working and discussing directly with farmers, it is shown that they are using Pesticide in their Crop Production, and appling non-appropriate technique which bringing them to reach a low yield and non economic efficiency from their farming, facing with the Environment Pollutions from their chemical usage and losing Natural Resources for their community.

3. We are all founders understand that Cambodia society does not have enough transparency and justice. The corruption and culture of parties, abuses, and other Illegal acts are covering most part of the country wide. As a part of agriculture and environment activist, and as we have ability to help students, farmers and vulnerable people to improve and strengthen their situation in Job Environment, Livelihood Standard, and build the Non- Corruption Culture, Justice and Good Governance, we are committed and initiated to contribute to Cambodia Society Development by forming new Cambodian NGO, which have to introduce you here, named Action for Research and Development ‘’ARD’’.

Vision and Mission

Vision: A Cambodian society with citizens of quality and capacity, mutual helping and living in dignity and pleasant environment.

Misssion: ‘Quality and Capacity of Young Graduates, NGO/Institution Staff, and Local People is built so that they can effectively contribute to sustainable development of Cambodia by working with and empowering poor farmers’.
